  • Tim Click successfully defended his Ph.D. dissertation in July 2007 and moved to a postdoctoral position at Central Michigan University working for George Kaminski.  Best of Luck, Tim
  • Adam Hixson successfully defended his Ph.D. Dissertation in December 2006 and moved to a postdoctoral position at the University of Pittsburgh working for David Earl. Best of Luck, Adam.
  • Zunnan Huang successfully defended his Ph.D. Dissertation in November 2005 and moved to a postdoctoral position at the University of Missouri-St. Louis working for Chung Wong.  Best of Luck, Zunnan.
  • Two undergraduates, Sara Francis and Kurt Brorsen, joined the group in Fall 2004.  Welcome to both.
  • Best wishes to Han Zheng, who defended her MS thesis in July 2004 and joined the PhD program at NYU.
  • Congratulations to C. Adam Hixson for his recent CCG Excellence Award from the ACS Division of Computers in Chemistry.   The award pays for travel to the ACS National Meeting in Philadelphia during Fall 2004 and provides software for his use.
  • Congratulations to Zunnan “Victor” Huang for winning the Outstanding Overseas Chinese Student Scholarship.   Congratulations Zunnan!!
  • Congratulations to Tim Click, who won an NIH predoctoral fellowship.  Way to go Tim!!
  • Haitao Dong successfully defended his Ph.D. dissertation in December 2003 and moved to a postdoctoral position at the University of Delaware.  Best of Luck, Haitao.
  • Congratulations to Haitao Dong, who recently won a CCG Excellence Award from the ACS Division of Computers in Chemistry for travel to the ACS National Meeting in New Orleans during Spring 2003.
  • Han Zheng has joined the group as a new graduate student.  Welcome Han.
  • Emily Reigh won a Fulbright Fellowship in Spring 2002 to study the history of science in Italy.   Congratulations!!
  • Three new graduate students, Tim Click, Jermont Chen, and Zhanyong Guo joined the group in Fall 2001.
  • Two undergraduates, Nick Rains and Claudio Ramos joined the group through the department's NSF/REU program (Summer 2001).  Claudio will continue working in the group for the next academic year.
  • Emily Reigh, an OU undergraduate, joined the group to learn molecular modeling.  Welcome Emily.

  • Angela Wilson has accepted a position as Assistant Professor in the chemistry department at the University of North Texas in Denton, TX.  Best wishes Angela! (Spring 2000).
  • Christian Matthaeus successfully defended his M.S. thesis and returned to the Technical University of Berlin.  We'll miss you Christian (April 2000).
  • Christine Tratz was awarded a National Science Foundation Fellowship for graduate study.   She plans to attend Iowa State University in the Fall.   Congratulations Christine!! (Spring 2000).
  • Ralph Wheeler became program chair for the ACS Division of Computers in Chemistry (3/00).
  • Kris Wise successfully defended his Ph.D. dissertation and departed for NASA laboratories in Langley, VA (April 1999).
  • Kris Wise won a National Research Council postdoctoral fellowship to model polymers at NASA in Langley, VA.  Congratulations Kris!! (Spring 1999).
  • Angela Wilson became one of six chemists to win a research grant in 1999 through the NSF/Professional Opportunites for Women in Research and Education (POWRE) program.  Way to go Angela!! (Spring 1999).
