Resources: Computing resources owned and operated by
our research group include:
(2) Linux cluster with forty-eight 2.0 GHz Intel Xeon processors, 48 GB of memory, over 3 TB of disk storage, and interconnected by a Gigabit Ethernet switch. (3) Linux cluster with eight 833 MHz Pentium3 processors, 1 GB of memory and 20 GB of disk storage per processor, and interconnected by a Scalable Coherent Interface (SCI). (4) 4-processor Digital AlphaServer 4100 with 512MB memory, 18GB disk. (5) 4-processor Silicon Graphics PowerChallenge L with 512MB memory, 15GB disk storage. (6) One Silicon Graphics workstation. (7) Two IBM workstations. (8) Seven PC's, two laser printers, numerous CD-ROM and tape drives. |

Shared computing resources include: (1) Linux cluster with 1024 3.2 GHz Pentium4 processors, 2176 GB of DDR RAM, over 13.8 TB of on-board storage, and using a InfiniBand interconnect (administered by the OU Supercomputing Center for Education and Research, OSCER, and shared by researchers throughout the university). (2) Linux cluster with 66 1.0 GHz Itanium2 processors, 132 GB of DDR RAM, 292 GB storage, with Silverstorm for interconnect (administered by OSCER and shared by researchers throughout the university). (3) 100-baseT network connects all computers and is maintained by the University. |
