GAANN* Graduate Fellowships in Molecular
and Biosciences
at the University of Oklahoma, Norman Campus
The University of Oklahoma's Department of Chemistry
and Biochemistry is pleased to invite motivated and
promising Ph. D. candidates to apply for GAANN* Graduate
Fellowships in Molecular and Biosciences. These fellowships
will be awarded to U.S. citizens or permanent residents
on the basis of their academic record and the stipends
(potentially up to $31,000) will be determined by the
individual's economic need.
In addition to a record of academic excellence, students
with one or more of the following characteristics are
especially sought:
- those with interests in biological aspects of chemistry;
- members of underrepresented groups in science,
including women, African-Americans, Native Americans,
and Hispanics; and
- those with non-traditional, chemically-related
backgrounds, e.g. pharmacy, molecular biology, chemical
engineering, chemical-physics.
Applicants to the Ph. D. program in Chemistry and Biochemistry
will automatically be considered for these awards (obtain

In addition to the completed application form, students
should submit their grade transcripts, 3 letters of
recommendation and GRE scores - verbal, quantitative
and subject (optional).
